Hall's Drive-In Theatre
West Columbia, South Carolina

Thanks to KC Carson for telling us about this drive-in. If you have any informtaion about it we would love to hear from you. Email Us Here

The two movies mentioned are "Twilight People" made in 1973, and "Murphy's War" made in 1971. So, Hall's Drive-In Theatre was active around this time. We would like to know when it opened and closed.

Update:April 27, 2012
From a recent visitor to our site:

I distinctly recall seeing "The Island of Doctor Moreau" there, and since it was released July 1977, that puts the theater open through 1977, more likely as late as 1978.

I know the space was being used as a flea market, and I think they were doing that at the same time they showed films, near the end of its theater life.

For a fact, "The Island of Doctor Moreau" played there, regardless. I'm pretty sure it was no longer a theater by 1984, in every instance.

Thanks for your site! I could only remember "that drive-in, near the old grocery store, on Augusta Road where I saw The Island of Doctor Moreau.". Now I have a name! Excellent.
