Home to the Flowertown Players

The Dean Theatre opened in 1935. It was know locally as "The Show." It was a successful movie theater from its opening until the mid-1960's. The Flowertown Players, a community theater group, was founded in 1976. They bought the 209-seat theater and named it the James F. Dean Community Theatre for one of its founders. The theater is listed as part of the Historic District in the National Register of Historic Districts.
